HP Inc. Press Installation Project Manager in Barcelona, Spain

Business context:

As the PWP (PageWide Printing) Press Installation Project Manager, you will be working within HP's Industrial Prints Services organization in Sant Cugat, Barcelona. In this role you will work directly with our customers and across the PWP Operations and Solutions teams to plan and execute the correct, complete, and timely delivery and installation of PWP Presses within our customer's facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that the customer is ready to receive the press and that all logistics and staffing for executing the installation have been made. Finally, you will remotely, or directly oversee all aspects of the installation ensuring it successfully meets our customer's expectations, schedule, and HP cost requirements.

At the start, you will be mentored by an experienced project manager in order to gain knowledge about the organization, tools, processes and products. You will be working independently within 3 to 6 months.

Job responsibilities:

  • Build a solid project plan for installation upgrades and moves of PWP presses across EMEA.

  • Manage the project by ensuring that all activities are executed on time and according to the quality criteria.

  • Report on progress of the project to stakeholders.

  • Capability of managing 3 - 4 projects per quarter with various complexities.

  • Contribute to various internal projects within the organization.

Key deliverables/accountabilities:

  • Projects timely completion within quality, customer satisfaction, time, and cost targets.

  • Drive improvements in installation process and projects.

Working relationships:

  • Internal: Account Management, Solution Consultants, Account Service Management, GBU Operations.

  • External: Customers, Service suppliers.

Knowledge requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical)

  • Between 2 - 4 years of work-related experience, being responsible for project management and planning. Knowledge in Industrial Printing sector would be a plus.

  • Solid level of planning and project management.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Other languages would be an asset.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Advanced project management skills and pay attention to details.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Problem - solving skills to adapt to unexpected changes.

  • Ability to work across different geographic boundaries.

  • Take initiative towards process optimization, knowledge acquisition and quality assurance.

Technical skills:

  • MS Office

  • AutoCAD

  • MS Projects
