Description

Our client in Kimball, TN, is seeking a Controller for an Interim contract role, approximately 3 to 4 months. This role will ONSITE and involve managing accounting functions, coordinating financial processes, and providing analytical support to management teams.

Responsibilities:

• This is a very hands-on role, supervising a team of 3

• Provide analytical support to management teams, including managing KPI's and performing cost analysis

• Oversee the monthly financial close process and preparation of financial statements and reports

• Coordinate and prepare monthly forecasts with the local management team and value streams

• Manage standard cost and manufacturing account system as well as all plant accounting

• Establish, implement, and monitor all internal controls and facilitate all external and internal audits - SOX Compliance

• Continuously evaluate plant and finance processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and look for improvement opportunities

• Manage multiple direct reports including an Associate Controller, Cost Accountant, and Plant Accountant

• Handle reconciliation and month-end close support tasks

• Utilize strong skills in Accounting Software Systems, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and BlackLine and Excel.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Controller role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Solid understanding of accounting functions

• Understanding of SOX compliance helpful

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven skills in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Knowledge of Excel, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and BlackLine systems

• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory

• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA or CMA would be an advantage.
