The Opportunity

The US Affiliate of the Infectious Diseases Developed Markets (IDD) Business Unit has a new position for Senior Financial Analyst (SFA). They will assist the Finance Manager with supporting IDD’s commercial strategy by providing business partners with value added insightful, and actionable financial analysis and recommendations. In addition, they will assist in developing the Affiliates rolling pricing forecasts and providing accurate and succinct stories behind historical and forecasted financial performance.

What You’ll Work On

• Coordinate and assist the Finance Manager, Corporate/National Account Directors and Sales/Commercial leaders in on-going pricing, promotion & contract negotiations with key customers.

• Support the on-going pricing planning process interacting with Corporate Accounts, Marketing, and distribution partners for consistent, standardized and timely financial reviews.

• Develop an understanding of the product offerings, local business dynamics, while establishing efficient processes and tools to effectively analyze financial performance.

• Assist in the modeling of financial implications of various promotions being provided to customers.

• Assist in the development of profitability/pricing analysis for IDD product portfolio to influence and counsel business stakeholders on appropriate business strategies and pricing decisions.

• Support Market size and Market share forecast for major product lines.

• Provide analysis of historical financials, historical pricing, variance explanations of business drivers and help identify what levelers may be pulled to optimize performance and meet business goals.

• Responsible to alert Finance Manager on a timely basis for any issues/unexpected trend in actual/LBE/Plan results and proactively offer solutions.

• Perform ad hoc requests for senior management, with financial modeling and presentation support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in finance or accounting

• 4 + years of accounting, auditing, finance or commercial finance experience

• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in finance or accounting

• CPAs preferred

• Experience in pharmaceutical industry would be an asset

Technical Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:

• Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.

• Individual must be self-motivated with great follow-up skills and be able to work independently.

• Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple work processes and projects.

• Strong analytic skills, conceptual thinking, ability to analyze and problem solve with incomplete or ambiguous data.

• Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint and Proficient in Access and Word.

• Experience with SAP, SQL and PowerBI desired.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
