Location: Ocean County, NJ

Pay: $32-$40/hr

Shift: 12hr shift (days or nights), rotating weekends

Overview :

Join our team as a Pharmaceutical Mechanic, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing packaging and process machinery. Your responsibilities will encompass mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting light facilities maintenance. Proficiency in English is essential for this position.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform line changeovers, setup, and startup procedures, including training on vision systems and data collection.

  • Identify required parts for repairs using equipment manuals and compile requisitions for parts ordering.

  • Apply mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic expertise to troubleshoot and repair packaging and production machines.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electronics on production equipment to minimize downtime.

  • Utilize computer and logic controllers for equipment analysis.

  • Troubleshoot PLC, VFD, Servos, temperature controls, and other systems.

  • Address issues with vision systems and automated weight checkers.

  • Design and implement basic control systems to enhance line efficiency.

  • Accurately document changeover activities in accordance with guidelines.

  • Lead or support process improvement projects to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members, offering assistance and problem-solving.

  • Demonstrate flexibility for shifts and overtime as required.

  • Display adaptability, motivation, and task-oriented focus.

  • Make informed decisions based on logical reasoning and product impact assessment.

  • Identify opportunities for process and procedural improvements.

  • Exhibit strong communication skills, including written, oral, and electronic communication.

  • Work comfortably in cleanroom environments and adhere to regulatory standards.

  • Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, and relevant regulatory guidelines preferred.

  • Experience in GMP or regulated environments is advantageous.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of mechanical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferably, experience in aseptic/pharmaceutical packaging environments.
